Travel Packing Lists

Packing has got to be the hardest part of a trip! We’ve been as thorough as possible, so you shouldn’t miss a thing.

Just in case you’re interested in some of the products we’ve listed, we have included photos and prices for you to shop.

Essentials

        • Passport/ID/student ID If you want to be extra careful, a colour photocopy of your passport and ID may come in handy.
        • Boarding passes/tickets/entry visas (if required – see #3 below)
        • Bank card/money card/cash In Europe we find it easiest/cheapest to just use an ATM while out there, and carry little cash. To take precautions we split our funds into both of our bank accounts, and transfer most money into a separate online savings account which isn’t linked to our cards (via banking apps on our phone) – these extra savings accounts are free and easy to set up, and we’d be lost without several accounts to separate funds!
        • Plug adaptor (below)
        • Portable charger/power bank  (below)
        • Mini portable bluetooth speaker We love our music, and is how we met, so this is a must for us. It’s great for most situations whether you’ve hired a car, being a beach bum, or in the hotel room (below)
        • Reading book
        • Headphones/earphones
        • Sunglasses (rain or shine, hot or cold – don’t get caught out. We would have been lost without them in Iceland!)
        • Prescription glasses/glass case
        • Selfie stick (below)
        • Mini phone tripod with shutter remote (below)
        • Camera/SD cards/tripod/GoPro
        • Laptop + charger
        • External hard drive (to store all your photos and documents) (below)
        • Travel sickness bands
        • Travel pillow/eye mask/ear plugs
        • Rain mac
        • Travel umbrella
        • Towel/beach towel (most places supply regular towels, but still check)

  • Tights
  • PJ’s
  • Swimwear (you never know where you’ll end up!)
  • Underwear/thermals (don’t forget the fluffy socks)
  • Sports/loose bra/bralette (personal preference while abroad. Somehow being away from home makes me care less about wearing a proper bra – let them be comfy and free!)
  • Jumper/cardigan
  • Hat/belt/scarf/gloves
  • Snood (when visiting somewhere cold – this will be a life saver)
  • Sandals/flip-flops/heels/heeled boots/walking shoes/flat boots (again, depends on where you’re going. If you can get a comfy pair of pretty boots for daily use then its win win. I have arched insoles in mine to support walking and reduce pain)

Gentlemen:

  • Evening shirts
  • Jeans
  • Shorts
  • Jumpers
  • Underwear/thermals
  • Swimwear
  • PJ’s

              • Mini standing mirror (to do make up in the sunlight!)

Comment below if we’ve missed anything!

Happy packing
